
Dr. Mark A. Sprague, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, shoulder surgery, and knee surgery. He has extensive experience treating sports-related injuries and degenerative joint conditions using advanced arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgical techniques.
Dr. Sprague earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York before completing his orthopaedic surgery residency at Mount Sinai Hospital. He went on to complete a fellowship in sports medicine at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, where he received advanced training in the surgical management of shoulder and knee injuries.
His clinical expertise includes total shoulder replacement, reverse shoulder replacement, rotator cuff repair, labral surgery, ligament reconstruction, meniscus surgery, and other arthroscopic procedures designed to restore joint function and help patients return to an active lifestyle.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Sprague has held leadership roles in orthopaedic medicine, including serving as Medical Director of Ambulatory Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (FAAOS), a member of the American Medical Association, and has previously served as Vice President of the Berkshire District of the Massachusetts Medical Society.
