Dr. Steven Gorin, DO is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and fellowship-trained sports medicine specialist at the Advanced Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Institute. He specializes in treating sports injuries and orthopedic conditions affecting the shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle, helping patients of all ages return to active, healthy lifestyles through personalized, evidence-based care.

A passionate advocate for conservative treatment whenever possible, Dr. Gorin develops individualized care plans that focus on relieving pain, restoring mobility, and improving function. When surgery is the most appropriate option, he utilizes advanced orthopedic techniques to help patients recover safely and return to the activities they enjoy.

Driven by his own enthusiasm for sports and physical activity, Dr. Gorin has extensive experience caring for athletes at various levels of competition. He has served as a team physician for numerous athletic organizations and currently provides sports medicine care for USA Soccer Youth, helping athletes recover from injuries and safely return to play.

Dr. Gorin earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology from Boston University's Sargent College, followed by a Master's degree in Sports Medicine from the University of Miami. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from Nova Southeastern University and later completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Miami, further strengthening his commitment to leadership in healthcare.

His postgraduate training includes a Traditional Rotating Internship at Botsford General Hospital and an Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the Medical Center of Independence in Missouri. He also completed advanced fellowship training in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine and Stem Cell Therapies, expanding his expertise in both surgical and non-surgical treatment options for orthopedic injuries.

Dr. Gorin is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is actively involved in several leading professional organizations. He currently serves as President of the Miami Orthopedic Society and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (FAAOS). He is also a member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA), and the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS).

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Gorin is affiliated with Aventura Hospital and Medical Center and Memorial Hospital South. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he is committed to providing compassionate, accessible orthopedic care to the diverse South Florida community.

By combining advanced training, decades of clinical experience, and a patient-first philosophy, Dr. Gorin strives to help every patient recover from injury, regain confidence in movement, and return to the activities they love.
